2022 Sexton Scholarship Awarded

We are proud to share that Denese Allen was selected as this year's Sexton scholarship recipient. Denese is in her fourth year at Sam Sharpe Teacher's College, pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Special Education. She was awarded highest GPA in the college for 2 years, is a mother of 3 and also serves in various leadership roles for her community.

Good Afternoon,

While I write with teary eyes, I must say I am deeply honoured to have been chosen for the Wilson and Jean Tiery Sexton 2022-2023 award recipient. This goes to show that hard work and dedication, amidst obstacles, have its reward. 

I am indebted to Mr and Mrs Wilson Sexton and wish I could meet them in person so I could express to them how they have changed a life, touched a heart and paved the way for a brighter future.
