Susan Anderson

Susan Anderson began volunteering as a reader for the Scholarship Committee in 2018 and became a Board Member in 2020. She holds a BFA in Advertising–Creative from Southern Methodist University and has served in the U.S. House of Representatives, the White House, and other parts of the Executive Branch. Her work with the Central European Small Business Development Commission and the Small Business Administration deepened her belief in the power of education and entrepreneurship to transform families, communities, and national economies.

Following her work at the SBA, Susan transitioned to corporate special events planning before pausing her career to raise her family. She and her husband, Mike, have been visiting Jamaica with their family for over 27 years and proudly consider themselves “Ja-americans.” In addition to serving as Board Secretary, Susan is a member of the Scholarship Fund, Governance and Nominating Committees. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve and contribute to the community.
